How long can beans be kept?

How long can beans such as garbonzo beans be kept in the refridgerator after you open them from a can. 2 weeks or so?

is their a website that tells you how long you can keep food in the fridge after its been cooked or opened

I wouldn't keep them more than one week. They may begin to ferment.
