Why healthy foods are generally more expensive than non-healthy foods?!

Question:

Why healthy foods are generally more expensive than non-healthy foods?

Answers:

Because they know you want it and will pay the price. Economics my friend, supply and demand. sometimes like organic foods it has to be specially grown, takes more effort to produce (time consuming) soy milk costs more than cows milk, and soy beans are cheap! Doesn't make sense, just like diet food take less out cost more. Sugar free items are more expensive, because they know you will pay for them. It it is just for diet purposes, then just start reading labels, you can find things that are not top shelf, with the same ingredients cheaper if you are willing to take time and look. or buy the regular and just eat less of it. anything in a can is full of sodium! better to buy fresh foods, find a local produce stand and pay a lot less. good luck. It is a craze right now, eat healthy so it is just a marketing thing mostly to earn and make a profit off people wanting to be healthier. Make wise choices, and cut corners, it will equal out. and remember you can always make larger quantities and freeze it for later, I use a lot of zip lock bags for that reason (freezer bags).
