Chicken and steak?!

Chicken and steak?

Why is it that cooked chicken retains its heat much longer than cooked steak? I'm always burning my fingers on chicken and eating cold steak.


Answers:

I am not so sure that is true. Have you done an experiment and followed the scientific method? Also, we generally eat chicken with our fingers but pick up bits of steak that we cut into smaller bits with a fork. Cutting the steak also helps cool it because it exposes more surface area.

I am sure that if you cut chicken into steak sized bites it would cool down as fast if not faster.
