Cast iron question?
My husband bought me a really nice huge cast iron skillet. It came pre-seasoned from Lodge. But even despite out reseasoning, it keeps flaking, and today I've discovered it's rusted on the outside.
I don't get it. I've seasoned unseasoned cast iron before and they're great. I know to keep them dry, not use soap, etc.
So I guess, why did it rust, and how do I fix it?

I would scrub it with a good soapfree steel wool pad,you can also use salt as an abrasive, when done reseason either on the stove or in a very hot oven
