Why does milk change color when cereal is in it?!

Question:

Why does milk change color when cereal is in it?

i know why it does, but why does it turn pink when Trix is in it. there are many colored cereal pieces, but the red one only seems to color the milk. i would think it would turn brown, like mixing all the paint colors together, but it stays pink.

Answers:

Because the food coloring agent used to color the cereal pieces red is either water or fat soluble or both fat/water soluble. The other colors are not. Simply meaning when wet by these sources the color is transferred to it.

No further mystery about it.

Yeah he is right about the coca puffs. Or most any choc. cereal.
