Is it safe to eat soup that was in an unopened tin can after I accidentally left it in the fridge for 2 days?!

Question:

Is it safe to eat soup that was in an unopened tin can after I accidentally left it in the fridge for 2 days?

Answers:

hmmm...ONLY if it was unopened!
once opened, you must place it inside those Glad type of plastic containers (2 cup size) to prevent spoilage
a local gentleman got sick because he opened the can and left it in the fridge and still ate the product from the same can!
he ended up being hospitalized for a few days our newspaper said
so yes please be careful with tin/aluminum cans in the fridge
