Chinese products in America.. Help, please?
Does anyone have a list of all (or some) products in America that have parts made in China or are completely made in China? I don't know about you guys, but after all of this stuff about what China is doing to products (for coomplete list, see below), I am going to boycott Chinese products completely.
What have they done, you ask? :
-Use cardboard meat fillers
-Use antibiotics and antimicrobials in seafood that are banned in America, then SELL it here
-Use lead paint in American toys that is extemely harmful to children
- Dangerous/toxic materials in toothpaste

Sorry if I wasn't clear but it was ANTIFREEZE that was found in the ttothpast, and Chinese products were also behind the big dogfood trouble that killed many animals.
Answers:
The cardboard meat filler story is a hoax, the Chinese reporter who set it up has since been arrested.
There IS no comprehensive list & there's no way the average consumer can weed out products from overseas. The law that was passed to enforce country of origin on food products will not go into effect until 2008 because President Bush delayed the starting date. A lot of groceries are produced for distributors (like Wal-Mart) & there's no ingredient list on them - a jar of honey is a good example. Nothing on the label besides "distributed by Wal-Mart". That honey is coming from Argentina, Chile, India, etc & being blended together before being bottled for sale under Wal-Mart's label. Apple juice might say made from concentrate - that concentrate is coming from China, but the label doesn't say so. There are thousands of products that might actually be manufactured in America - but the individual components were imported from overseas. If the component is basic enough, it won't even be classified as a "food" item - that's what happened with the bad pet food. Watch the news & pay attention.
