Can salsa give you gas?!


Question:

Can salsa give you gas?

This sounds like a really silly question :) But I have to prove my dad wrong!
Whenever he has gas (which is terrible!) he blames it on salsa. Our family always has salsa & chips so I don't see why it couldn't be true but I would still like to prove to him that you cant get gas from salsa. Haha
Scientific answers appreciated, I need proof.
