For how long can you safely keep meat (ground chuck) in the freezer without adverse effects arising once eaten!

Question:

For how long can you safely keep meat (ground chuck) in the freezer without adverse effects arising once eaten

Is there a difference between use by date and expiration date?

Answers:

Ground beef bulk or chuck can be freezed for a long time. I think it's about a year. As far as cleansliness goes here is my advice:
Check for physical defects like mold etc.
If this is present then discard the meat immediately.

If it has no physical defects then just cook the beef at a temperature of around 180 - 190 degrees.
This temperature range ensures that all of the bacteria and germs are dead. A good way to check this is by using a digital cooking thermometer.
