Is there a reason our bodies crave certain types of food... especially if it's healthy food?!

Question:

Is there a reason our bodies crave certain types of food... especially if it's healthy food?

Today I already drank about 30 ounces of orange juice and it's only 1:45pm. I still have half a bottle of Tropicana in the fridge and I think I'm going to drink more later in the day. Is my body telling me something like, "You need some vitamine C", or am I just drinking it because I love the taste? Also, I've had the same experience with fish where I ate tuna for lunch, salmon for dinner, catfish for lunch the next day, and leftover salmon for dinner.

Answers:

It's not always true that our bdies crave what we need. Yes our bodies do crave food, but it has something to do with out brains and a smell or sight which sets off the craving. I would be careful though, orange juice is healthy but in moderation. The fish thing too, watch your moderation. You need balanced meals.
