Is there really a difference between Plain and Vanilla flavored yogurt?!

Question:

Is there really a difference between Plain and Vanilla flavored yogurt?

Some yogurt brands only sell plain, and some sell vanilla. Is there really a difference between the two??

Answers:

Yes! Vanilla is a seed pod of a tropical orchid (vanilla planifolens) used in flavoring just about anything from puddings and custards to liquers and chocolates (yes, chocolate usually contains vanillin--the main flavonoid in vanilla)--I used to think that chocolate was the opposite of Vanilla--d'uh! Plain, simply means "unflavored", but of course, yogurt has a natural flavor of it's own--go figure!
