How do I use an old fashioned can opener?
I have one of those little old fashioned can openers that have one gear and no handles (not broken, just how they are). For the life of me I can't figure out how to orient it to the can. Any ideas?

You put the gear under the rim on your right side of the can with the opener tilted away from you and the piercing blade touching the top of the can. Then start turning the handle away from you. The blade should rotate down into the top of the can as the opener starts to move. The rim of the can should be trapped between the gear below and on the outside of the rim and the blade above and on the inside of the rim.
