Moldy mushrooms?!

Moldy mushrooms?

I had a package of mushrooms in the fridge for like 3 days and I noticed a bit of white fuzzy mold beginning to grow on them, so I washed them off really well twice with hot water and I'm now deep frying them. Will they be safe to eat? They weren't mushy or anything like that. Thanks! :)


Answers:

MMmmmmm, hard one. I would think they aren't going to make you sick but I don't think I would have used them, just for the "ick" factor. It the mold was only growing on some, I would have at the very least just tossed those.
