What does the process involve to make cornstarch?!

Question:

What does the process involve to make cornstarch?

I would like to know the process of making cornstarch. What machines are used, what chemicals and and why, pretty much anything to do with making cornstarch. Also, if there is a way to make it at home, from homegrown corn, since I assume that it is made from corn.

Answers:

-It is ground from the endosperm, or white heart, of the corn kernel.

-It is usually included as an anti-caking agent in powdered sugar

-It may be used as a thickener in many recipes. Cornstarch is best dissolved in cold water, as it forms obstinate lumps when mixed with warm or hot water. It is also found in many gluten-free recipes.

-On an episode of the Simpsons, Ned Flanders mentions cornstarch as good for keeping down the urges.
