Have you ever tried the cashew fruit?!

Question:

Have you ever tried the cashew fruit?

I just saw images of the cashew fruit with the nut attached. How come I've never seen these fruits in any market. I'd love to try it! Thanks.

Answers:

Here in my country, and in other Asian countries, cashew fruits are considered too acidic to eat raw. They're actually a mild laxative, which is great for people on detox!

Be careful though--cashew fruit is sometimes too acidic to the tongue, thus causing tongue and throat allergies in some.

Here in my country, we eat cashew fruits by roasting them first, and dipping them in sugar or caramel syrup. Grill the fruit like you would grilled peaches or pineapple, or bake them, just to remove that extra acidity. The smokiness of the fruit goes well with sugar or caramel.

GoodlucK!
