Are baby back ribs made from baby pigs?!

Question:

Are baby back ribs made from baby pigs?

Are baby back ribs made from baby pigs and if so how old are they when killed?

Answers:

Baby cows? Are you kidding? They're pork. No cow involved.

Baby back ribs( loin ribs or back ribs) come from the very top of the rib cage between the spine and the spareribs and just below the loin muscle. They have a good amount of meat between the bones so they are meatier than spareribs or St Louis Style. The rack is shorter at one end, due to tapering of the rib cage.

They come from full grown animals. No piglets harmed!
