Can you eat rice past it's best by date?!

Question:

Can you eat rice past it's best by date?

i want to make a rice dish tonight but i realized my bag of rice says it is best to use it by june of this year.
does this really matter with rice grains? i've used them since june and it tasted fine and didn't make me sick and they look pretty normal (?)

Answers:

It should be fine... If you're referring to white rice.

White rice has no fat so there's nothing to go rancid.
Also, it's moisture free so it doesn't support mold or bacterial growth.
