Who remembers having S-cookies for breakfast?
they are these Italian cookies and we used to dip in coffee and latte..my kids love them and I still love to have them once in a while although I really got sick of them since this was a breakfast tradition.

My mother would have an entire DRAWER full of Lady Fingers as that is ALL my sister would eat for breakfast.
Europeans are known for having "sweets" for breakfast, and my mom wouldn't let me have the Lady fingers as that is ALL my sister would eat. Seems to be she was the smart one who was "stubborn" and would only eat certain things...so she got the "best" of everything if you know what I mean!
I usually had cereal...and I don't know but it was pretty boring.
We had those "S" cookies occasionally as treats...I really like those. But my grandma would ALWAYS bake cookies...way better than anything you could possibly buy. She would make these cookies that were a cross between cookies/cake and ice them with icing sugar. They had a hint of lemon in them for flavour and were my favourite of all time.
My other favourite where the almond ones...the ones that looked like a half moon kind of...they were likely baked like a flat cake and sliced. They are still one of my favourites.
You don't want to put any of those cookies near me these days as I could just open a package and go to town.
The Lady fingers I use to make Tiramisi...which is an all time favourite around here and a rare treat.
