Can I trust the nutrition info on this thing?!

Question:

Can I trust the nutrition info on this thing?

I just bought a vita cake, and it says that each 2 oz slice is just 100 calories. Can I trust it? Each slice looks a lot bigger than the muffins, and I know vitacakes are baked by people and not machines. Plus, this cake looks to big and real chocolaty to be just 800 calories total. I measured out the slices as 2 oz so I know that part is correct, but how can I know for sure if the calorie count is duping me?

Answers:

There are easy ways to drop calorie counts, the easiest way would be to check the nutrition information. Check the amount of sugar, fat, and believe it or not carbs. They may have used sugar substitutes, oils with healthier fat content, as well as soy flour etc. However, by law they are required to include the correct nutritional information and if you bought from say a bakery or something they have to provide you with this information. Ask for it if it isn't provided.
