Orange, jelly-like substance inside of my apple/safe to eat?!


Question:

Orange, jelly-like substance inside of my apple/safe to eat?

as i was eating my apple i bought at the store.. i chewed some of it down and found a hole where it was filled with this orange type stuff that filled it?

was the apple rotting on the inside or something

was it safe to eat?
