When does a store-bought cake expire-does it expire on its sell-by date?!

Question:

When does a store-bought cake expire-does it expire on its sell-by date?

Answers:

My guess would be that it has a few more days after the sell-by date. You are single like me, right? When you get a store bought cake, freeze separate pieces. Cover them real well - or cut them so that they will fit in zip-locks and then freeze them. When you want a piece, grab it out of the freezer and then let it sit for about ten minutes (or you might even like it frozen). Did someone get you a cake for your birthday? I hope so. Your birthday is soon right, or is it now?

Happy birthday even if I am off by a few days.
