Double yolks in my eggs, would they have been twins?!

Question:

Double yolks in my eggs, would they have been twins?

Hi,
Having made omlettes for tea tonight i discovered that 3 of my large free range eggs had double yolks.
My kids asked if that meant the hen could have had twins??
what do you think.
I know that the cockeral would have had to fertilise the eggs but in theory could they be twins?

I will choose the best answer

Answers:

Yes, they would have.
Nice going, you family-wrecking twin-killer!
--ha,ha! just kidding.
