What the difference between butter and oil? I have some pasta that calls for butter and i only have oil...?


Answers:

The main difference is flavor, but depending upon what pasta dish you are making, would depend upon which you will need to use. A good Olive oil is a suitable substitute if the pasta is being topped with something else, but if the pasta is in a salad, or cream based sauce, you will want to go with butter (or at least margarine) Pasta with Olive Oil and garlic is wonderful, and healthier that using butter.
