When I was in the service I ate maggots, raw snake(tasted terrible) sea turtle(really good)after the service I lived in Yellowstone Nat'l Park for a couple of years and ate squirrel(not bad)grizzly(if cooked right, okay) mountain lion(tasted great)rattlesnake(great also)grouse, pheasant, eagle, hawk, seagulls were the worst tasting meat ever, crow, grasshoppers, ants(sweet) a buzzard once(not bad). One man's food is gross to others, but if you know how to survive or are in a situation where what you eat will help you survive then all you can eat is good and nourishing if prepared well. And I ate well.
