SALSA, and tomatoes?????
hi, i make sulsa, and want to know of a fast and easy way to blanch them, it's so messy, and takes so long the reg. blacnhing way! any other way to do it?

The only way I know of to peel tomatoes is by cutting a shallow X on the bottom of the tomato, plunging it into boiling water for 30 seconds, then into ice water. Let it sit in the ice water for at least 5 minutes, then peel.
If you pulverize them in a food processor you don't have to peel them, but most folks want chunks of tomatoes in their salsa, not tomato sauce.
