Does anyone know any really good smoothie recipies?
I have looked in a bunch of places anyone have some good smoothie secrets they want to share!? (No recipies that use alcohol please :)

Honestly, you can make a good smoothie with just about anything...and it is fun to experiment.
Here are some tips-
-frozen fruits work well (the consistancy tends to be a little better)
-blueberries are great
-make sure you add something to sweeten it (it doesn't have to be sugar, can be a little sweetened juice, my fave is cranberry, but also honey can be used, frozen or regular yogurt also provide a little extra sweetness to balance the tartness of fruit)
-a banana is always a good addition (the nutritional benefits of bananas is phenomenal, plus they are quite filling)
-if you use raspberries, caution there will be little annoying seeds....I would advise against it, blueberries also have seeds, but not as many
-strawberries are great, but make sure to make them small enough so you don't have a huge chunk o' strawberry (make all fruits small enough, so you don't have huge chunks or wear out your blender)
-use skim milk rather than ice cream or frozen yogurt to cut calories, if you like the thicker consistancy, cover it and put it in the freezer for a bit, or add ice
-don't add too many flavor combos, but don't be afraid to experiment...if something doesn't taste right, just add something else....it's kinda like magic
-limeade or Orange Pineapple are my other favorite juices to mix with
-use a straw :)
