How does swiss cheese get its holes?!

Question:

How does swiss cheese get its holes?

Swiss cheese is so yummy! I just ate some! =D

Thankyou in advance!

Answers:

funny that you asked that because i just watched a special on the discovery channel about swiss cheese. in the process of the making and curing of swiss cheese, air pockets develop inside of the cheese, due to a gas that is formed, and this is the reason the pockets, or holes appear. happy eating.
