I need to kick my baked beans up a notch...?

i have 2 cans of store brand baked beans at home.
i am looking for a ways to kick them up a notch and maybe add flavor or texture to them. i'm not a big fan of baked beans so i would like a way to flavor them up more so i can enjoy them too
they are part of dinner for co workers that i'm making in 2 days...

for a rib dinner... w/beans, tater salad, mac n cheese and probly taters au graten too. we do dinners like this every so often... very casual since it's served at work (911 pd/fire dispatch center)

1 onions chopped
1/2 bacon
3 tlbs brown sugar
2 tsp mustard
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup maple syrup
