Twinkies or Ho Ho's?!
Twinkies or Ho Ho's?
Which is the best american pastry? Or do you have your own favorite?

American pastry???.....LOL
Considering they both have some real nasty ingredients like the ones in varnish and stuff I wouldn't touch them. That and the "fake" taste.
Here's some of the Twinkie ingredients:
Polysorbate 60 is a gooey substance that helps replace cream and eggs at a fraction of the cost. It's derived from corn, palm oil and petroleum.
Artificial vanillin is synthesized in petrochemical plants.
Sorbic acid, the only actual preservative in Twinkies, comes from petroleum.
CaSO4, Calcium Sulfate Class: Sulfates Uses: in the manufacture of some cement, a source of sulfate for sulfuric acid. Anhydrite is a relatively common sedimentary mineral that forms massive rock layers. Anhydrite does not form directly, but is the result of the dewatering of the rock forming mineral Gypsum (CaSO4-2H2O). (Also called Plaster of Paris)
