If you had a bakery in your town... (10 pts)?
If you had a bakery in your town that in the morning was like a coffee shop and sold coffee and breakfast pastries and bagels, etc, and during lunch and dinner times offered coffee, smoothies, wraps, salads, cookies, muffins, pastries, cupcakes, bread, etc and also did special order wedding and birthday cakes...how likely would you be to go somewhere like that? (everything would be made in the store)
also what do you think would be reasonable prices? and what other types of 'interesting' baked goods have you heard of?
I'm wanting to start my own business when I graduate and this is what I've always liked (and i know there's nothing in my town like this besides what's at the grocery store) I just want to know if other people would enjoy it as much as I would.

I guess I should take back that there's nothing in my town like that, there's one coffee shop that's OKAY, and there's one that's way out of the way but is pretty much christian based in a town without a lot of people like that, and most of them are just strictly coffee and smoothies, no food choices.

Sure I do it all the time.
I would anticipate a good selection of bagels, muffins, pastries, and desserts. I think a bagel with cream cheese should run $2.00. Muffins and Pastries should be $1.50 and cup of joe should be $1.50 unless it's a cappucino or expresso....those should start at $3.00 for small and be $4.00 for large.
Maple bars are great...they are yeast pastries that have a maple icing. They were my favorite when I was a teenager working at a large hotel during the champagne brunch buffet. Cream Cheese danishes as well as fresh fruit pastries will be a big hit.
