Why is it that with all the tv chef's...?

Our multinational society, our huge range of fast food outlets and restaurants, and our long history of trade in herbs and spices...Egg and Chips is still the best meal in the world?...oh ok...maybe with a slice or two of Wiltshire ham???

C'mon...admit it. A little salt and a sprinkle of malt vinegar on the chips, ground black pepper on the eggs and a dob of ketchup on the side...you know you want it!....
