Should I go with Pampered Chef stainless, or Le Creuset?!
Should I go with Pampered Chef stainless, or Le Creuset?
I need some pans for college, and what I really want is something nice. Le Creuset looks very promising and I feel like just going out and buying that. But my aunt can get me 60% off Pampered Chef's new cookware and keeps bugging me about it. I know nothing about the quality, and it seems pretty shady to me. They say almost nothing on the site. Has anyone used their set (it's new) or anything?

I would go with The Pampered Chef Stainless Cookware! I love The Pampered Chef, they have the best warranty out there and they backup everything the sell. Their new SS cookware is beautiful and top of the line. I have a few pieces of it (the 12" skillet, the 8" saute pan and their 1.5 quart sauce pan) and I love them.

Why tri-ply clad transfers heat better...
Our Stainless uses tri-ply clad construction. A heat-conducting aluminium core is sandwiched between two
sheets of stainless steel. It extends through the entire pan including the walls, which results in even heat
distribution. Our ratio of stainless steel to aluminium gives you optimal cooking performance.
Many stainless cookware lines are made using the encapsulated process. An aluminum or copper disc is
attached to the bottom to aid in heat distribution. Because the heat is distributed only on the bottom, this construction is less efficient and is prone to uneven heating and hot spots.
***Another awesome cookware is the Pampered Chef Executive Line. Here is how the Pampered Chef website describes this line:***

What is hard-anodized aluminum?
Hard anodization is an electrochemical process that adds hardness to aluminum and seals the surface of the pan. Our hard-anodized aluminum is reinforced with a titanium alloy, which results in an even stronger and more durable product.
*** I personally own all of their Executive Cookware and it is so awesome. I love how easy it is to clean! Nothing sticks to it, which makes for low-fat cooking because on most day to day cooking you don't need to spray with oil or use butter. You can bake a chocolate cake right in the oven in their 12" skillet and it falls out (literally) of the pan without leaving any of the cake behind. I plan on using this set the rest of my life; I've had it for a year and a half and it still looks brand new. Still, I think it is good to have some Stainless Steel cookware to compliment it for dishes that you want to broil in the oven - sometimes it gives it the perfect finish.
As for the price - I think the Pamered Chef Cookware it competitively prices, especially with their Lifetime Warranty. When you can get it for 60% off - it's a steal.
Good Luck!
