Opened a prestirred yogurt and it doesn't look right?

I opened a Lucerne prestirred yogurt, which usually has a smooth texture. But it looks like some is globbing together and pulling away from the sides and like some is a bit runny. It smells ok. Do you think it's safe to eat?

I got brave and tasted it. It's more sour than usual. I'm not going to eat it.

It sounds to me like the yogurt is a bit old and the organisms have coagulated the milk protein. Check the exp date and if it's expired take it back to the store for a refund. If not past date, I would still be careful since you don't know what's wrong. Why take a chance with $.50 worth of food. It could make you sick.
