Why is it that vegetables and fruits don't make you feel full?!

Question:

Why is it that vegetables and fruits don't make you feel full?

It's like it's just not as full filling in comparison to meat or bread.
Do you know if there is a scientific reason for this?

Answers:

Complex carbohydrates. Most vegetables and fruits have very little of it, and your body craves it when it doesn't get enough. The good news is that it's a matter of getting used to. If you go on a low-carb diet, then you'll feel less hungry and even a salad will fill you up.
