How can I stay alert during a long day with no food?
My question is while at work there are times that I get sleepy causing me not to be focused as much as I should be. What can I do while fasting during daylight hours without eating in an office setting to help me stay alert and focused? It can be what I do or don’t eat within the night hours if that could help? What I have been doing on regular basis is drinking water or energy drinks if it comes down to it.

Well you can get some aromatherapy stuff and sniff it whenever you are drowsy. Or better yet, get a pot of fragrant plant (any herb will do) and sniff it.
Also let your superior know you are fasting and maybe he/she will let you come to work half an hour later than usual so you can eat more during the night without feeling bloated.
In addition, get plenty of sleep.
