We drink a lot of herbal teas.

Answers:

I have a friend who swears by it. Her older son has PKU, and has to be careful of the sweeteners he uses. Anything with aspartame can cause a lot of health problems for him, including mental retardation.

I had said that I use a lot of Splenda, and she cringed. It's made from sugar, so it's not TOTALLY bad for you. Stevia is better for you than sugar though, and it only takes a little bit to sweeten things up.

It's perfectly safe for kids to have. If they grow up with it, they won't know any difference any way.
