How do they make chicken Frankfurts?
Chicken Franks are very popular here but I can't stand them, and even my cats don't like them. I buy them for my dog though but I wonder if it is healthy for the animal? How do they make them? I have that idea that they take a whole chicken, boil it for an hour, put it in a food processor and blend the entire chicken feathers and all, add ajinomoto and other chemicals, plus colorants,,, fill plastic tubings, pack it, freeze it and sell it to unsuspecting consumers??? Please tell me that I am wrong!

If you are in search of the exact process, I'd say you weren't too far off. I'm sorry, I can't tell you that you're wrong.
According to Hormel:
Their Hot dogs are processed from the combination of white and dark chicken meat. They are lower in fat than pork or beef hot dogs.

I would honestly imagine that chicken hotdogs are made pretty much in the same manner as regular beef hot dogs cept they're filled with mostly unprime cuts of chicken meat, beaks etc. I doubt the feathers are in there too, but hey, ya never know!
Not even the dog likes 'em huh?
I tried them ONCE too.
ick!!! Hot dogs in general aren't such a great and healthy thing but if you are gonna eat unhealthily might as well enjoy the taste right :)
