How can i store muffins without the tops getting all soft and slimy??!

Question:

How can i store muffins without the tops getting all soft and slimy??

everytime i make muffins i have some left over and if i put them in a plastic bag or tupperware container, then they get kind of slimy and sticky on top......
how else can i store them without them getting dried out and stale, but not so moisture locked??

When you put them in your Tupperware container line the bottom with a paper towel and before putting the lid on put a paper towel on top of the muffins.Good luck! :)
