Vegetable oils and fats! How are they formed?
How are vegetable oils and fats derived from plants?
Are they better for you than animal fats/oils and in what way?
Take olive oil... why doesn't this oil taste like olives (what happens to the original taste in the process?)

vegetables, like olives and others are pressed to get the oils out.
there is COLD PRESSING and there is pressing under heat.
The first pressing of olive oil does taste a bit like green olives, smells like olives, and the oil is a see through green color.
there are subsequent pressings that get paler and paler, and smell and taste less like olives.
