Is Chili a form of soup?!


Question:

Is Chili a form of soup?

OK...call me crazy but I think it is. I'm not talking about your hot dog chili...I'm talking about the kind of chili that you would eat in a bowl or cup, add crackers to, and possibly some shreaded cheese. I think it's in the soup family, as there are all kinds of soup. My wife says, "Chili is Chili...it's not a soup." What do you think?

the chili I was raised on is soup, more water in it than the stuff from a can
