Damn I love V8. I know it's got lots of sodium but other than that is it good for you? How can I make my own?

Answers:

I love it too. Its a combination of tomato, carrot and celery juice. Making your own is a great idea too because the kind you buy has been boiled and it loses it's natural enzymes that actually heal many digestive problems. You can also buy the cheap generics. They are simply called vegetable juice. Try it with beer 1/2 and 1/2. Delicious and a cure for a hangover. If you make your own to preserve by canning it will have to be boiled to remove any bacteria that causes it to spoil. First parboil your tomatoes to remove the peels when they cool a bit then put them back in the pot with the water not too much water and boil them until all the juice is cooked out of them and the tomatoes will mash up to pulp. Remove the pulp and strain the juice to remove the seeds and remaining pulp. Next you'll have to use a juicer or a food processor to grind the carrots and celery to remove their juices. Strain it and I would probably do 1 part tomato to 1 part carrot and add a little celery juice to your taste preference. This also makes wonderful stock for vegetable soup and stews. I'm getting hungry now.
