Why isit that when you eat something spicy and drink coke?!

Why isit that when you eat something spicy and drink coke?

your mouth burns even more.But when you drink milk the spicyness goes away.
Why is this?


Answers:

Milk is a base and Coke is an acid. The base reacts against the spicy food to take away the spiciness and the acid just adds to it.
