Cheap meals?!

Question:

Cheap meals?

I'm starting to budget, yes after 29years of mismanaging my money, it is very import to find a food budget that will work for me. What is the cheapest and healthiest foods available?

Answers:

Making a budget helps, but, I have a suggestion for you.

Make a weekly meal menu and stick to it. I have done this and saved tons. I have even been able to still get some "good" foods by doing this well in advance.

Maybe since this is the middle of the month, you could start by next calendar month and know by the 1st of what the month will consist of.

EX:
1st: Hot Dogs, Chili, Onions, Cheese, Crackers, and a salad
2nd: Spaghetti, with meatballs, Salad and Garlic Bread
3rd: Meatloaf, Mashed potatoes, VEGGIE, and Rolls
4th: Stuffed Bell Peppers
5th: Homemade soup or Chef Salad
6th: Hamburgers, French Fries, Salad/potato salad
and go on like that for the month....

Of course, the above ideas are not that healthy, but that was just for examples....

If you make 1 nite a month a GO OUT nite, you can spend a little more there, and you don't have to figure out where that money is going to come from, because you have not swayed away from your menu.

Also, be sure you have the "normal" things on hand
eggs, butter, bread, milk

Good Luck and I am going to watch your answers as well..ty
