Mcdonalds Info?!

Question:

Mcdonalds Info?

I just watched a great movie," Super-Size Me", and it shows what can happen to an average person if he eats McDonalds for 30 days straight. Well, I want to find out more info about the health problems of McDonalds, and how they get people to eat it. I know that peole start off by getting kids meals and toys. Then they end up having 150 lbs at just 8th grade. I also know that they have super-size as a size... I mean, who would drink 1/2 of a gallon of coke?? Anyway, can you give me any more info on the health problems of McDonalds?

Answers:

In my opinion, the bigger issue is economics. McDonald's has always been and will always be cheap. Poor people will eat it out of necessity. Buying groceries is expensive. The average price of groceries has increased at a far higher rate in the last ten years than the price of McDonald's. Healthy food is outrageously priced. Whole Foods (a chain of fresh markets specializing in organic, free range, etc.) is often jokingly called "Whole Paycheck". Only people with money have the luxury of nutrition. If anyone in power really cared about health problems in the USA (a big problem since heart attack is the number one killer of Americans by a large margin) they'd make healthy food available at a low cost. Until then, nothing will change. Poor people (especially inner city minorities) will continue to get fat and die. Sorry to say.

Super-Size Me was a great movie, but the whole thing kind of p!sses me off because no one is focused on the bigger issue: money.
