Dumb question about teapots, but do people heat water on a stove in those nice ceramic teapots?
Answers: Ceramic teapots are not stove top safe. Use a metal kettle to boil your water, put loose tea or teabags in your teapot and then pour the water into the teapot. Let it steep and then serve. No, you heat the water in something else and then pour it into the ceramic pot with the tea and let it steep.
Most of those pots would be ruined if they were on direct heat. Nope.

I heat my water in an electric kettle and then make tea in the teapot. Kettles and Teapots have different purposes.
Kettles go on the stove and change water temperature quickly.
