I have complained and they were very good I suggested that they should bring back their £2 vougher back that they use to give you if you were over charged as a incentive to them to get their prices right.

You tell me Afrowoman then it wouldn't void so they asked if I would pay the bill in full then they would give me the extra which I told them no it was their problem so I had to go to customer services where they couldn't void it in the end up I said to the woman why didn't she just void all the shopping and start again which she did and ended up knocking about £10 off but it's not the point if that had been a big shop I wouldn't of noticed probably.

Yes - I always check to see if I get the "buy four for £1" offer right rather than they charge me 30p a tin (that's plum tomatoes) but I try to shop for meat, cheese and so on in the old style shops (harder and harder these days). They do always say "look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves" but you've been robbed!
Anyhow I hate being ripped off and hope that you sort it out,Sparkles! I do sometimes, but I think I might do it a bit more closely from now on. easy answer, you have the receit you know what it was surposed to be, go complain. oh! thanks for telling me i don't shop in asda cos i don't do the family shopping! cos i'm a lazy b*itch Not usually, but my brother did once and found that he'd been charged twice for several things! These days I usually shop at Tesco on the Internet. No, it's not just you and it's not just Asda either. I've taken up the habit of moving just a few feet away from the till where I paid for my stuff and go through every item until I'm satisfied. I say 1 out of ten times there's a mistake on their favour, hardly ever the other way around, but when that happens, I take advantage of it. eg. something worth £3 comes out at 30p, I go back into the shop and grab lots of the "discounted" item, would you believe they never notice? We used to shop at Asda all the time but we got fed up of being overcharged. Never had anything quite as extreme as your cheese though. When we complained about the prices on the shelves being different to the prices at the checkout you'd have thought we'd accused the checkout operator of her doing it personally!! We thought it was just the one we went to but it must be all of them. We changed to shopping in Tesco but almost everything we bought ended up with "discontinued" stickers! We now shop at Morrisons and have had no problems at all.....so far, fingers crossed lol. No wonder Asda has such a huge profit every year! We check receipts in every shop we use, not just the supermarket. I never check but i will now, and that is a great idea bet they don't take you up on it though Yeah...I shop there and I do try to check my purchases.
But how could a mistake like that happen?....£25 for a block of cheese??? I've always shopped at Asda and I do check my receipt after every visit, I've never had any problem with them overcharging me, maybe that's just the particular store I shop at. no not relli x it matters not!they all rip you of in some way.always check your reciept where ever you are shopping All the time, I now stand at the till and check the savings anything wrong i question them there and then as when you walk out of the shop you have no chance of correcting it. Yes this has happened to me before so I always check my receipt now-whatever supermarket im in. I was overcharged for a quiche once so i went to customer services & i got an asda card that allowed me to spend £2 in store...i was so chuffed! I never used to do, buit i check in every supermarket now asd it is amazing how many mistakes are made, being over charged, being charged twice for the same item. But they funnily never under charge me.
