Whats the worst cake you've ever had ?!

Question:

Whats the worst cake you've ever had ?

I had some Sainsbury's iced fruit cake. It looks like xmas cake without the marzipan. It tastes bl**dy awful. Normally, cake puts me to sleep. This one didn't, so I suspect the cut the mixture with something like plaster or vim.

Answers: Years ago, a proto-girlfriend (Someone my parents were trying to fix me up with) made me a cake. The recipe called for margarine or butter, she hadn't any so used lard.
I was so touched that she had gone to the effort to make me a cake, that I felt obliged to eat some. I was violently sick! Any cake ive baked has been a complete disaster!! I gave up on baking! Carrot Cake, Thought it was Ginger Bread. cake with fruit in it(in btwn layers). its horrible. I dont know how people can serve that stuff to their guests fruit cake, even though i love fruit. um, christmas pudding birthday cakes!!!!

does anyone else find its really gross to eat something that someone has just blown and spat all over?

no? just me...lol

always had an issuse with this as i have a twin brother ...always ruining my birthday cakes!! I dont really like cakes full stop but my worst nightmares are pastry based. Pecan Pie - love nuts, like chocolate but not together. I find it way too rich. Give me icecream instead any day. Despite that I am good at baking and enjoy it but have to give the end result to family and friends. I had a coffee cake at Woolworths today, and it was fairly awful, very sickly and stale. I work in a cake factory. Naturally I try everything (perks of the job & all that). The worst have got to be Carrot Cake and Ginger Parkin. Hello:

I hate fruit cake and if I see it or even smell it,I will throw up right there on the spot, not kidding! :-(
