Which are your top 10 [edible] sprouting seeds....you could list by flavour...by quickness of sprouting?
or any other priority.
i suppose mung beans will be top of most lists..but what seeds are almosr as quick and equal if not better in flavour?
if you all give me your top ten in descending order...that should give me a few ideas to work with.
i like rape seed- what often goes under the name cress..and i like alfalfa.
are there any that you would recommend as breath fresheners..ie will fennel aniseed or peppermint sprout well?
Answers: I like clover and radish
that's about all I know about sprouts there was a craze a few years back with restaurants using pea sprouts I remember. Mustard and cress, alfalfa and mung beans as you say, as regards mint, it's far better to let it grow into a proper plant and chew the leaves - fresh parsley will also stop you smelling like the Gard-du-Nord on a saturday night if you have been eating garlic! In the middle East they chew on small green cardomom pods the seeds are almost minty and they will freshen breath too. have you tried aduki (not sure about the spelling) beans, they are quite good
