Why is corn flour white?!

Question:

Why is corn flour white?

If it's made out of corn shouldn't it be yellow? Include sources.

Answers: White corn produces white corn flour.
However, in Britain, cornstarch is called corn flour. Source(s):
www.oznet.ksu.edu/library
Type "white corn" in their site's search window. Scroll down and the first item is the one you need. Don't need a source to know that a kernel of corn is white inside...to get corn flour the kernels are ground to a powder...there would be more white inside than yellow outside...therefore...the flour appears more white...VOILA
