Is pasta fattening??!

Question:

Is pasta fattening??

Answers: The pasta itself doesn't contain fat, however, it is a carbohydrate. If you eat too many carbs, which convert into sugar, the sugar/carbs will be stored in your body if not burn off right away. Carbs will be burned off first, then fat. That is why the "protein" diet is so popular. If you cut out carbs, your body will then turn to fat for fuel. yes, it is very high in carbs. You shouldnt have slot of pastas if your watching your weight. yes sir.... it's carbohydrates Well I think so however they do have wheat pasta and low calorie pasta that can be healthier just do not put a heavy sauce with it like Alfredo. All that matters in terms of "fattening" is the amount of calories you take in, and the amount that you burn. If you eat way more calories in pasta than you burn, then yes, its fattening. The same thing applies to every other single food in the world. However, whole wheat pasta does have some additional heart healthy benefits that might make it worth your while. Pasta is high in carbohydrates and high consumption will cause weight gain. Pasta is lowfat because grains are lowfat.
It's what you put on the pasta that makes it fattening. Yes, it is. It has a lot of carbs, salt and oil.
